Blackout shades block the vast majority of incoming light for a dramatically darkened room — ideal for sleeping, media rooms, and shift workers. Light filtering fabrics diffuse and soften incoming light while still letting some natural brightness through. The right choice depends on the room — most bedrooms do well with blackout, most living rooms with light filtering.
We install Somfy motorized systems, which are the industry standard for motorized shades and blinds. Once installed, your treatments connect to the Somfy app, and integrate with Alexa and Google Home for voice control. You can also program schedules — shades open at sunrise, close at sunset, switch to "movie mode" with a single tap.
Zebra (also called mirage or transitional) shades have alternating solid and sheer horizontal bands. By adjusting the shade up or down, you align the bands to dial in any level of light — from nearly fully open to nearly fully closed. They're extremely popular for living rooms because of their versatility and clean, modern look.
Most residential installations are completed in a single visit. A standard room typically takes 30–60 minutes. Whole-home or motorized installations may take a full day. We'll give you a clear time estimate before we schedule the install.
